Promoting the Demon — August 23rd, 2007

… and the stripper, of course! Mirtes has produced exclusively for you a promotional drawing of the demon and the stripper from a parallel dimension where there are no colors! No really, check out this gorgeous black and white piece right here: right here!

New art, old plans, and hello to all Wizards. — August 16th, 2007

First of all, Lydia had a blast promoting Overwhelm at Wizard World. If you picked up a flyer and came here because of it, hello, and thank you! If you memorized the URL off the flyer instead of actually taking one with you, even better!

To keep your appetite duly whetted, we decided to release a little more content.

First of all, we’ve added the bio of our second artist to our Who page. Mirtes is a Brasilian who moved to Germany for the superior weather (let’s all point at her and laugh), making this project truly international. God bless the Internet.

In order for you to truly appreciate how awesome she is, we’ve added the first three panels of her first page to the art section. In case that doesn’t convince you yet, let me tell you: there will be boobies.

And finally, just to show you that yours truly isn’t entirely idle either, and that this project does have a plan, I added the Issue Breakdown to the About page. You see, this is high concept art! *cough*

I will probably also release one or two pages of script sooner or later. The problem is that right now the scripts are more like personal love letters to my artists, and confused, and confusing. I will eventually clean up one script sufficiently to show you what it looks like.

Overwhelm Promoting at Wizard World! — August 5th, 2007

Greetings! This post is to let everyone know that Lydia, the insane cave artist lady, will have a table at Wizard World Chicago to promote Overwhelm (and to sell other lesser works having nothing to do with Overwhelm) No matter where you are in the world, get to Chicago on the 9th through the 12th, and go see her. Make fun of her. Praise her. Sacrifice her pinky toe to some obscure deity! Whatever you decide to do, just GO.

Information can be found here: http://www.wizarduniverse.com/conventions/chicago.cfm

Art uploaded — July 30th, 2007

I uploaded some art. Some of it is sketches, which we didn’t really use to discuss the intricacies of character design or okay certain palettes or whatever; what we did use them for, well, what Lydia did use them for was to make me drool. It’s your turn to drool now.

I’ve also uploaded the first page of the first issue.  It’s pretty dark (and don’t expect it to become much lighter later-on) but I think you can get a good feeling for the sort of thing we’re trying to create.

More to come soon.

Page online — July 30th, 2007

Hello and welcome to the wonderful world of Overwhelm. I’ll be your disembodied voice for the evening.

For now, we have a rudimentary webpage online with nothing much more than the plot synopsis. I will soon add the page about the people behind Overwhelm and the newsletter, of course, since you can’t wait to read our comic and must be informed the moment it can be bought for money and/or internal organs.
